Research Interests

Júlia Galántai is a junior research fellow at the Institute for Sociology, Centre for Social Sciences, Budapest. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Sociology, Eötvös Loránd University. Her main research interests include: social inequalities, the division of labour within the household, gender roles, computer text analysis and text mining. During her doctoral studies, she was awarded a research fellowship from the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders' Fellowship Foundation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and worked as a researcher at Linköping University, in Sweden. In recent years, she has published in international journals such as the Journal of Family Violence and Intersections. East European Journal of Society and Politics.
